Episode 38 - Spiderman Uncharted: Far From the Last of Us

I don't rent, I OWN, when it comes to gaming. That's what the cool kids say when they are playing their Forknife, right? Anyways, this week I played The Last of Us for the first time as well as Uncharted 4 and my imagination and love for puzzle solving was taken to new heights!

Not only that, we were able to see Spider-man: Far From Home. Which was many weeks before we recorded this bish. And WAYYYY before this episode was finally uploaded.

Episode 37 - We are the WoMen in Black

I have been waiting for another installment of Men In Black for the longest time. There was some speculation and rumors a while back when people said that the Men in Black franchise was being revitalized with a crossover. This crossover was to be with the 21 Jump Street franchise starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum and I was balls deep in love with that idea. That never happened, but what we got instead was hella dope starring the iconic duo from Thor Ragnarok! And no, I don't mean Jeff Goldblum and anyone on screen at the time.

The lead characters Thor and Valkyrie played by Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, respectively. These two nailed it and it was so enjoyable I was transported back to being a kid when I would put on the black shades, the black shoes, the black ties, with the black attitude. Yes, a small little white boy had black attitude in the most ridiculous, but not politically incorrect, way.

Episode 36 - Imagine Waiting on Grindlewald to be Good. Oh, Man!

Wow, that's a lot to unpack.

So first off, in honor of the passing of Stan Lee, I started the Just Imagine series of DC comics. This series was a re-imagining of our favorite Justice League members as if they were created by Stan "The Man" himself. Then I relived the early 2000's glory of raunchy comedy - Waiting - which was basically Clerks, but set in a T.G.I. Fridays. After that, we briefly touch on The Crimes of Grindlewald and when I say 'briefly' it's so brief I don't even care enough to look up the correct spelling of his name.

Harsh, right? Well, it was garbage and he should feel bad.

But, last and arguably the most enjoyable bit, was that we binged the delightful Amazon Series, Good Omens, based on the book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It was brilliant.

Episode 35 - 100 Spider-Wives

This week we talked about the impossibly attractive, overly dramatic, radioactive (radioactive) teens on the CW hit show The 100 and where their newest season has taken us. We also binged watched The Good Wife because why the hell not! It's one of the 4 shows Hillary has seen and now I am well versed in Alicia Florrick and the many names of her law firm. Am I a Peter or a Will? Eli or a Cary? Definitely not a Kalinda, because she was all over the place and I could never be a Diane because she was a beast. What was I talking about?

Anyways to top it all off I played Spider-man on PS4 finally and I cried pretty much the whole damn time.

All that and more here on Why Did Not You Warn Me!?

Episode 34 - Avengers: Endgame *SPOILERS*

It's been...ONE month since Avengers: Endgame was released. We did a spoiler filled episode about the sights and sounds and feels of this cinematic masterpiece that was ten years in the making.

Ye be warned.

If you have went this long without seeing the movie then I am sure you do not care about spoilers at this point. However, I cannot in good conscience assume you have seen the film and therefore do not want to run the risk of spoiling anything.

Enjoy or don't. You decide.

Episode 33 - M. See You, You See Me too

In this episode we discuss my play through Spider-man on the PS4 and our thoughts on the MCU and End Game.

We check in with the Million-A-Books Hillary has been reading since we last sat down to record and start a journey down the rabbit hole of Supernatural - one I haven't taken myself, but now that the series is wrapping up after 14+ years I feel I can finally hop on board.

Plus, stick around to enjoy a sneak preview of our future episode where we will discuss DC's ShaZam!

Episode 32 - Captain Marvel-ish

Face front, True believers!
In this episode we dive into the newest installment of the MCU - Captain Marvel. While it was a fun and different kind of flick than Marvel has put out before did it stand up to the high expectations we've cultivated over the last 10 years? You be the judge.

*SPOILERS*
It doesn't really. But find out why in this brand new episode!

Also, we dive into my watch of Gotham before it wraps up it's series finale this Thursday (4/25) 8pm

Episode 31 - Into the SpiNerd-Verse

Welcome back officially to the return of Why Did Not You Warn Me? The first Tru episode of 2019!

I am reunited with my brilliant and lovely co-host Hillary. While the episodes done in the style of The Matthew Danko Podcast (Don't Call it That!) are all fun and games...and Batman, nothing beats sitting down with my partner - the Amy to my Jake, the Leslie Knope to my Ben Wyatt, the Willow to my Oz (at least until Tara comes into play, because Willow and Tara are the bees knees) - to host another episode of our beloved podcast. We dive deep into the Spider-verse because my god that movie was amazing and we touch on some other subjects that I can't recall while I type this.

All in all the movie was dope and watching it reminds me of all the reasons I love film making, I love storytelling, and I love comic books. If you haven't seen it buy your tickets now. I don't make any money off of the movie, but I'll hawk their wares till the cows come home.

Episode 30 - Arkham Fallout (Don't Call It That!)

Hey folks! Last time we had a very Special Two Part Episode when we casted the Pods. So, this time to give an additional treat I recorded a Brand New episode on my own!

Since we have moved into our new place we haven't had a ton of time to record new episodes and that sucks. So while I was waiting to go into work I decided to record one in the style of The Matthew Danko Podcast (Don't Call It That!) a show I used to do on my own where I would bullshit for 2 hours about virtually (and digitally) nothing.

This episode is a lot like that however I sink into a session of Fallout Shelter and Arkham Knight and see what comes of it.

Like it or don't it still counts!

Episode 29 - A Flash From The Past

Check out the latter half of the previous episode where we talk about CW's The Flash and all the wonderful DC creations that exist in the world. And then hear us argue about how that's not true and how Hillary has a problem with Batman. We do however keep things civil so cancel your subscriptions to Pay Per View and tune into wherever you get podcasts!

Episode 28 - Golden Compass Garbage Fire (The Movie)

In this Special Two Part Extravaganza Episode we discuss a shit ton of stuff that we did like:

Listened to The Golden Compass on Audiobook.
Watched the train wreck that is The Golden Compass movie.
Saw Hank & John Green Live on Hank's book tour.

AND MUCH MUCH MORE!

Tune in for the thrilling conclusion in Episode 29 where, instead of talking about something new we discuss watching CW's The Flash and Hillary's problems with the DC Universe.

Episode 27 - Getting Uncomfortable with Comedians in Cars...Whatever.

So as you may have guessed we are no longer being held back by a deadline, but since there is two of us we are also keeping each other accountable for putting out a new episode when we can.

This week we watched John Mulaney's episode of "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" and boy was it uncomfortable. Then we swan dive into three seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and there's still so much more to cover.
