Episode 23 - I FINALLY Know What Happens to Harry Pogwarts!

If you are unfamiliar I, Matthew Danko, had never read the Harry Potter series in it's entirety. But, after 117 hours and 14 min we finally finished Harry Potter and the Audiobook Adventure - as read by Jim Dale. 

Whether or not you agree that counts as reading them, to me it does. I struggle with reading and have a hard time focusing on the words written on the page, and the books themselves can be massive and daunting. But nothing, I repeat NOTHING, brings the story to life more than the vocal styles of Jim Dale (narrator of multiple works such as Pushing Daisies) and nothing could make me fall in love with the wizarding world of Harry Potter than diving into it with my lovely Ravenclaw and partner - Hillary Crum. 

This week we finish the final installment of the wonderful series with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and man do we get into it. Balls deep into it.

Episode 22 - Where in the World is Black Batman-Diego!?

Fall down a rabbit hole so Social Justice-y we didn't even mean to get there! This week Hillary read an underwhelming novel Just Another Kid by Torey Hayden and I watch Arrested Development Season 5 and an old favorite Peep Show from the minds of Robert Webb and David Mitchell. Definitely worth watching AD even if you hated the original season 4 on Netflix. I mean, there's only 8 episodes! and Peep Show is just an interesting concept.

Plus we talk Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 3 and talk about a world where superheroes aren't all carbon copies of the same straight white male. We ponder the idea of how superheroes can be any race, creed, gender, what-have-you and still be original. In fact - we would be better off for it!
